Our Story

The Bristol Boo-tique began the way many good stories do—by accident, by fate, and by the right person saying the right thing at exactly the right time.

In 2023, Kristi Marion was simply looking for a place to host a few vendor shows. She met with Teresa Tibol, owner of the Historic Bristol Virginia Post Office, to talk about using the venue for occasional events. But during that conversation, something unexpected happened. Teresa didn’t just offer a space for shows—she offered Kristi the opportunity to create the little dream shop she had been talking about for years.

Kristi took the leap, and on October 3, 2023, the Bristol Boo-tique opened its doors inside the foyer of the historic post office. What was supposed to be a three-month pop-up quickly became something more. The community showed up, the vendors thrived, and the store grew far beyond what anyone expected. The Boo-tique stayed for six months, becoming a cozy little hub for weirdos, wonder-seekers, and everyday magic-lovers.

When the time came to think about a more permanent home, Kristi went back to Teresa for guidance. Instead, Teresa went even further—she helped negotiate the Boo-tique into a new forever home at 503 State Street, right in the heart of downtown Bristol. On April 13, 2024, the Bristol Boo-tique celebrated its grand opening in the new location, marking the beginning of its next chapter.

What started as Kristi’s solo venture soon became a collaborative dream. Two original vendors—Midi Melody and Alesia Wood—were so essential to the heart and growth of the store that they eventually became co-owners. Together, they’ve built a haven for creativity, community, unique finds, metaphysical treasures, and the beautifully unusual.

Today, the Bristol Boo-tique stands as a reminder that sometimes the best things happen when you follow a small idea, trust your people, and let the universe open the right doors—literally.
